The Milwaukee Bucks are the best team in the NBA. They’re 50-19, two games better than Boston, and they’re 5-1 in their last six games. Last time out, they beat the Suns in Phoenix, 116-104 to get their 50th win. Now, they’ll host the Indiana Pacers who are 31-38 which is good for 12th in the Eastern Conference.
Indiana is coming off a loss to the conference’s worst team, Detroit, and now they’ll face the conference’s best team. Here are the odds for Detroit and Indiana.
Pacers vs. Bucks odds, spread and total
Pacers vs. Bucks prediction and pick
How does a team get to the best record in the NBA? Well having the best player in the league doesn’t hurt. Giannis Antetokounmpo is in the three-way race for MVP and might be the favorite soon. He’s missed some time with injury, but not a lot, and in their last game he had 36 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. He’s unstoppable and last time he faced Indiana, he had 41 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
The other way is to take care of business against the bad teams. Milwaukee can beat top teams in the league, but they dominate the teams at the bottom. Indiana is under .500 which means Milwaukee will handle them. The Bucks are 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 games against teams with losing records and are 10-2 against teams with a road winning percentage below .400, like the Pacers.
The Bucks look as strong as any team in the league right now, so let’s just back Milwaukee at home.
