NBA Fantasy Captain Picks

Are you unsure who to make captain for the Dunkest round? Here are our tips, one for each turn.

Centers

Mark Williams (Charlotte Hornets, 14.4 cr)

Despite the Hornets being far from the Play-In zone, the 2001-born center has no intention of slowing down. This week, he’ll face the Pelicans, who are also out of the playoff race, making it even more likely that it will be a game with little defense and plenty of possessions.

Alex Sarr (Washington Wizards, 9.7 cr)

The rookie is gaining more and more playing time as the season comes to a close, showing consistent growth in his performances. He has already posted his first 30-point games on Dunkest, proving to be an intriguing option for fantasy basketball. The next matchup will be against Brooklyn, with both the Wizards and Nets starting on equal terms. The 19-year-old is ready to make an impact.

Forwards

Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers, 13.5 cr)

The Clippers are more determined than ever in their push for direct playoff access, and with Kawhi in such great form (42 PDK per game over the last three matchups), nothing seems impossible. Up next are the Cavs, a challenge that will be a true test of strength for the Los Angeles squad.

Deni Avdija (Portland Trail Blazers, 13.5 cr)

The former Maccabi player has showcased great potential for fantasy basketball over the last seven games, racking up plenty of PDK. In Game 59, his Blazers will face the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, an ideal stage for a solid double-double with at least 35 PDK.

Guards

Tyler Herro (Miami Heat, 14.1 cr)

Herro and his teammates are tasked with salvaging a disappointing season so far. To secure a playoff spot, they’ll have to go through the Play-In, but the seventh and eighth seeds are still within reach. The Sixers don’t seem like a formidable opponent, but Tyler Herro needs to carry the team on his shoulders.

Coby White (Chicago Bulls, 12.8 cr)

Chicago is soaring. With eight wins in their last ten games, the Bulls have overtaken the Heat, thanks largely to the performances of Giddey and Coby White. The latter’s averages have improved significantly over the past month. The Mavericks stand no chance.

Coach

Steve Kerr (Golden State Warriors, 7.9 cr)

The Warriors are fighting for the sixth spot in the Western Conference. Securing direct playoff access won’t be easy, but games like the one against the Spurs are crucial. The San Francisco team can’t afford any mistakes at this point in the season.

Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat, 5.1 cr)

Spoelstra’s guys are not having their best moment, but they will definitely give their all in these final regular-season games. It’s crucial for Adebayo and his teammates to regain confidence with a win against the Sixers, to boost their push for the best possible position in the Eastern Conference.
