The Miami Heat continue to discuss Jimmy Butler trade scenarios with multiple teams approximately 24 hours ahead of the Feb. 6th trade deadline. The Heat have entertained a trade of Butler since December and their motivation to execute a deal has increased as the situation between player and team has become more toxic.
Butler has made every attempt to get himself traded to the Phoenix Suns, but they have reached a “loggerhead” on sending out Bradley Beal in the process. The Suns have explored the possibility of keeping Beal, but sending out Kevin Durant in a trade. Butler has a $52 million player option for the 25-26 season, which gives him degree of leverage over the course of the talks.
The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies have been amongst the other teams most strongly linked with Butler.
