Thunder Sign Branden Carlson To One-Year Contract

The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed center Branden Carlson. The Thunder roster is now full, with 15 players on standard contract.

The rookie big man signed a non-guaranteed one-year contract. Carlson is the latest player to sign with Oklahoma City, as the Thunder continue to cycle through options with the final standard roster spot. The center will provide some depth in the frontcourt, as Oklahoma City is without Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein and Jaylin Williams.

Carlson was waived from a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors at the end of training camp. The 7-foot center played in three games with Raptors 905 of the G League. Carlson averaged 13.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks.

Carlson went undrafted out of Utah at the 2024 NBA Draft. As a senior for the Utes, the center averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
