Green will earn $33.3 million in Year 1 of the deal, which is slightly above what would have been a $31 million cap hold.
Green will earn $36 million in both 26-27 and 27-28. Green also has a 10 percent trade kicker in his extension.Β
Green was the second overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft out of G League Ignite.
Last season, Green averaged 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 31.7 minutes for the Rockets.
