The New York Knicks signed forward Marcus Morris to an Exhibit 9 contract. Morris’ deal is fully non-guaranteed unless he makes the Knicks opening night roster.
Morris split last season between the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers. The 13-year veteran averaged 6.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per game for both the Sixers and Cavs.
Morris was traded twice last season. He was first sent from the LA Clippers to Philadelphia in the James Harden deal. Morris was then traded from the 76ers to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team deal that also involved the Indiana Pacers. The Spurs waived Morris, and he joined the Cavaliers in mid-March.
