Jimmy Butler Reportedly ‘Likes Brooklyn’

Jimmy Butler could become a free agent next offseason and “likes Brooklyn,” source close to him tell Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Butler has a player option for 25-26 after he and the Miami Heat were unable to agree to terms on a contract extension. Butler joined the Heat from the Philadelphia 76ers in a 2019 sign-and-trade.

Butler signed a four-year, $181 million extension with the Heat during the 2021 offseason.

The Nets are embarking on a rebuild after trading Mikal Bridges and reacquiring many of their future draft picks.
