The new NBA season 2024/25 is just around the corner. Meanwhile, to build excitement and get fans dreaming, the league has released the schedule with the dates and games to mark in red on your calendar.
The season kicks off with training camp at the end of September, on the 25th. Weβll then move into the start of the season with the first friendlies of the Abu Dhabi Games on October 4 and 6, along with the Canada Series in Montreal on the 6th, which will not be the last stop of the Global Games. This season, the NBA will travel to Mexico City on November 2 and then to Paris from January 23 to 25.
Tip-off will be on October 22, featuring an opening night that promises immediate excitement with the matchup between two of the biggest rivals from the East Coast, the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks. While the NBA Champions celebrate their 18th Banner, the Los Angeles Lakers will face the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Crypto.com Arena.
The second edition of the Β Emirates NBA Cup β this year called the Emirates NBA Cup β will begin on November 12 with the Group Stage concluding on December 3 to determine who will advance to the knockout stage, from December 10 to 17. The semifinals and finals will be held in Las Vegas, where LeBron James and Anthony Davisβ Lakers triumphed in the inaugural edition.
