Isaiah Hartenstein and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a three-year, $87 million contract. Hartenstein emerged with the New York Knicks these past two seasons as one of the league’s best non-star centers. The Knicks could only offer Hartenstein up to a four-year deal worth $72.5 million as they hold his Early Bird rights.
Hartenstein addresses Oklahoma City’s weakness rebounding and gives them a center capable of defending bigger players to offset Chet Holmgren.
The Thunder flew to Eugene, Oregon at the start of free agency to meet with Holmgnre.Β
Hartenstein is represented by Drew MorrisonΒ and Aaron Mintz.Β
