After missing four games with an ankle injury, running back Kyren Williams returned with a vengeance against Arizona on Sunday. Williams rushed 16 times for 143 yards and caught six passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns. In his last two games, both against the Cardinals, Williams has combined for 301 yards rushing and three total scores.
With an effective rushing attack led by Williams, quarterback Matthew Stafford and his receivers should benefit going forward. Against the Cardinals in Week 12, Stafford threw for 229 yards with four touchdown passes and one interception. Tight end Tyler Higbee had five catches for 29 yards and two touchdowns, despite being at least the fourth option in the passing game behind wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, as well as the running back Williams.
