A pair of potential conference title game previews highlight the Week 9 NFL schedule, with both matchups having plenty of history. Cowboys vs. Eagles is a rivalry that dates back to 1960. They’ve combined to win eight of the last 10 NFC East titles and Philadelphia is a three-point home favorite in the Week 9 NFL spreads. Bills vs. Bengals also takes place, a rematch from last season’s divisional round, which Cincy won. That game came just four weeks after their Monday night affair was cancelled following the Damar Hamlin injury. The Bengals are favored by 2.5 points in the latest Week 9 NFL odds. All of the Week 9 NFL lines are listed below, and SportsLine’s advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and NFL predictions you need to make the best Week 9 NFL picks now.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season on an incredible 174-123 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. It is also on a 28-15 roll on top-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of last season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest Week 9 NFL odds and locked in picks for every NFL matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top Week 9 NFL predictions

We can tell you one of the model’s strongest Week 9 NFL picks is that the Saints (-6.5) cover at home against the Bears. The offensive improvement that the Saints wished for by adding Derek Carr in the offseason has finally come into fruition. After averaging just 15.5 points per game through the first four weeks, the team has put up 27.3 over the last four weeks. Carr has topped 300 passing yards in three straight games and is coming off a win over the Colts in which he had a passer rating of 133.3, his highest in over two years.

There is a large gap between Carr and whomever the Bears trot out at quarterback. Rookie Tyson Bagent has one passing touchdown versus four turnovers this season, while Justin Fields was among the league leaders in turnovers and sacks taken before getting sidelined in Week 6. As a team, Chicago has been sacked the third-most times and thrown the fourth-most interceptions.Β See which other teams to pick here.

Another one of its Week 9 NFL predictions: The Texans (-2.5) cover the spread at home versus the Buccaneers. Both teams have 4-3 ATS, records but have taken different routes to get there. Houston has covered in four of its last five games, while Tampa has covered in just two of its last five.

No team has struggled to move the ball on the ground as much as Tampa, who ranks in the bottom two in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and yards per carry. That’s a big reason why the Bucs are struggling inside the 20-yard-line, as their redzone percentage of 27.3% is fifth-worst in the NFL. Meanwhile, no team has allowed fewer passing touchdowns than Houston.

Given the team’s respective strengths and weaknesses, as well as Houston’s ATS edge over the last month, the Texans are forecasted to cover well over 50% of the time. With both teams tied for sixth in points allowed, the model also says the Under (38.5) hits in nearly 60% of simulations. See which other teams to pick here.
