Why the Bills can cover

Quarterback Josh Allen has excelled this season against the blitz. The 6-foot-5, 237-pound Allen has seven passing touchdowns and only one interception when blitzed this season. That bodes well against a Buccaneers defense that blitzes at the third-highest rate in the NFL (40%) this season and allows the fourth most yards per attempt (8.3) on the blitz.

In addition, Tampa Bay has struggled to run the ball this season. The Buccaneers average just 3.1 yards per carry; only the Raiders (3.0) are worse in the NFL. Tampa Bay also averages just 77.8 rushing yards per game; just three teams average fewer.Β See which team to pick here.

Why the Buccaneers can cover

Lavonte David is having arguably one of the best seasons of his career. The veteran linebacker, who is in his 12th season with Tampa Bay, leads the team in tackles (53) and tackles for loss (six). He is on pace to surpass the career-high 147 tackles he had over 16 games in the 2015 season.

In addition, the Buccaneers face a Buffalo defense that’s coming off its worst game of the season. In last Sunday’s loss to New England, the Bills allowed season worsts in points (29) and yards per attempt (8.9) while also giving up 6.6 yards per play (second most this year). The Patriots entered the game ranked No. 31 in scoring offense, having scored 20 points total over their previous three games.Β See which team to pick here.
