Why the Dolphins can cover

The Dolphins are the first team in NFL history with more than 300 passing yards and 180 rushing yards per game over the course of any six-game span. Miami is also the first team since 1958 with at least 15 passing touchdowns and 15 rushing touchdowns in six games.

The Dolphins are on pace to become the first team since 1941 to lead the league in both passing yards and rushing yards. The Dolphins comfortably lead the NFL in scoring, averaging 37.2 points per game, and are generating well over three points per drive while scoring on 50% of offensive possessions.Β See which team to pick here.

Why the Eagles can cover

Philadelphia has a potent offense, but the team also brings a superior defense into this matchup. While Miami is No. 26 in the NFL in scoring defense this season, Philadelphia is above average, yielding only 20.7 points per game. The Eagles are also elite against the run, ranking No. 2 in the league in yielding 65.8 rushing yards per game and near the top of the NFL with 3.6 yards allowed per carry. Philadelphia is firmly in the top 10 of the league with 298.0 total yards allowed per game, and Eagles opponents are averaging only 5.5 net yards per pass attempt.Β

Haason Reddick anchors a dynamic Philadelphia pass rush, and he had 2.5 sacks a week ago. Reddick is in the top eight of the NFL with 5.5 sacks this season, and he entered 2023 with three straight seasons of at least 11.0 sacks, including 16.0 sacks in 2022. On offense, Philadelphia has scored at least 31 points in four consecutive games at Lincoln Financial Field, and the Eagles have scored points on 47.6% of drives this season.
