NFL DFS, Week 2: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks include Skyy Moore, Ja’Marr Chase

USATSI

Any experienced daily Fantasy football player knows that targeting rookies in early-season NFL DFS lineups can be a gold mine. Sites like DraftKings and FanDuel don’t always accurately price rookies to start a season, so they often end up as high-value NFL DFS picks. Several highly drafted rookies will be on opposite sides on Sunday, including Jahmyr Gibbs and Jaxon Smith-Njigba as the Lions face the Seahawks, as well as C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson when the Texans host the Colts. One strong performance could have their NFL DFS prices skyrocket more so than veterans. Which rookies should you pluck from the Week 2 NFL DFS player pool while their costs are still below market? Before locking in any NFL DFS picks for Week 2, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, strategy, and stacks from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.Β

McClure is a legendary professional DFS player with over $2 million in career winnings. He uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of NFL action, taking factors such as matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best DFS values that he shares only with members at SportsLine. His methodology has led to enormous cashes on FanDuel and DraftKings.

He took down two high-stakes tournaments on FanDuel in 2020 and recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in tournaments with over 130,000 entrants on DraftKings. His lineups also finished inside the top 1 percent in more than a dozen other tournaments. Last year, he won the DraftKings Millionaire Maker twice and the FanDuel Million once.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Week 2 NFL schedule and locked in his top daily Fantasy footballΒ picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NFL DFS picks for Week 2

One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Week 2 is Chiefs receiver Skyy Moore at $4,100 on DraftKings and $5,200 on FanDuel. The second-year receiver failed to haul in a pass in the opener, but there was an encouraging sign with his usage. Moore logged 45 offensive snaps, more than any other Chiefs receiver, and given Kadarius Toney’s struggles with drops, that points to Moore being the Chiefs’ No. 1 wideout.

Moore and Kansas City face a Jaguars defense on Sunday that just allowed an 8-97-1 stat line to the Colts top wideout, Michael Pittman Jr., who was playing with a rookie quarterback in his first start. That clearly doesn’t describe Patrick Mahomes and the Jaguars were lit up through the air last season. They allowed the fifth-most passing yards in the NFL and also allowed 18 receiving touchdowns to opposing wideouts, which was the fourth-most.

Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase at $7,900 on DraftKings and $8,400 on FanDuel. Chase has seven touchdowns over his last eight games, and his 84.7 receiving yards per game is fourth-best in NFL history (min. 30 games).

Chase had a quiet Week 1 as Joe Burrow had just 82 passing yards, but the wideout’s prospects are much better in Week 2. Cincinnati takes on Baltimore, and Chase has torched the Ravens throughout his career. He’s averaged 109.2 receiving yards across five games against the team, with three total touchdowns. Burrow has also averaged over 300 passing yards in the regular season versus Baltimore, so Chase shouldn’t be hamstrung by the Bengals passing game in back-to-back.Β See the rest of McClure’s NFL DFS player pool here.
