2019 number-one overall pick Zion Williamson will soon enter his fifth season in the NBA, and most expected him to be a superstar by now. When he has been healthy, he has, but he has missed the equivalent of two full seasons thus far, and a messy offseason has led to more questions about his future with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans were rumored to have shopped their best player at this year’s NBA draft to try and move up to select Scoot Henderson. Of course, that didn’t happen, but it seems he is not nearly as untouchable as many thought he would be.

After missing so many games over the first four seasons of his career, that shouldn’t come as a surprise since the idea that he could still be a franchise player seems to be fading.
