All-NBA has taken on increasing importance and prestige in recent years, with making one of the three teams often tied to a player qualifying for a supermax contract. Not only that but, with the talent level having risen dramatically in the NBA, making All-NBA means that a player is being recognized as the absolute best of the best.
That will be all the more true now thanks to the NBAβs new collective bargaining agreement, which has removed position designations when choosing All-NBA teams. That means that if the five best players were all guards or power forwards in a particular year, then they would all make the first team.
As you can imagine, that could lead to some interesting lineups when it comes to the All-NBA team, but what about in five years when many of the leagueβs top players are no longer on top? A lot can change in five years, particularly in the NBA, where things can shift dramatically from month to month. With that in mind, letβs predict the ultimate All-NBA starting lineup in five years.
