The NBA and NBPA have agreed to create a third Two-Way contract for every team as part of its next collective bargaining agreement.
The Two-Way contract under the current CBA has given teams an extra roster spot and allowed second round picks and undrafted players to emerge at a salary below a standard NBA deal.
Under this CBA, a player on a two-way deal can be with the team for 50 games and will make half of the rookie minimum.
Lu Dort, Jose Alvarado, Alex Caruso, Austin Reaves, Anthony Lamb and Duncan Robinson are some of the NBA’s best success stories using the Two-Way.
