Paul George left the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which they lost 101-100, at the end of the fourth quarter after suffering an injury to his right knee, the same leg as his terrible injury in 2014.

George collided with Thunder guard Luguentz Dort during a rebound before landing awkwardly and falling to the ground in considerable pain. The former OKC player left the arena in a wheelchair with his right leg stretched out and immobilized.

The Clippers have not yet released any official updates, and coach Tyronn Lue made these statements after the game:

George’s injury is still being evaluated at this point. But I’ve seen the replay of the injury

At the end of the game, Kawhi Leonard also responded to some questions about George’s injury and how the Clippers will organize without him:

I haven’t talked to him yet, and I haven’t seen the play. I thought he just got hit in the face. We’ll see…we have a group of guys who still want to win, who love playing basketball

Kawhi Leonard

In the coming hours, the Clippers player will undergo all necessary instrumental exams, and only at that point will there be official updates. The Clippers (38-35) are currently fifth in the Western Conference with nine games left in the regular season.
