After the All-Star Game, we are back with the two Rounds’ Matchday 47.
Who will be our picks? Let’s find out.
Guards
Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers, 16.1 cr): Mitchell is galvanised by the All-Star Game, in which he scored 40 points, 10 assists and 4 rebounds in 30 minutes. In order to stop Jokic and the Nuggets, who lead the Western Conference, he has to continue on the same road.
Zach Lavine (Chicago Bulls, 15.4 cr): with Derozan still out, Lavine is the best option for the Bulls. In a match in which the paint will be dominated by the confrontation between Vucevic and Claxton, Zach’s three-points shots will be much needed.
Forwards
Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic, 11 cr): a lower mid-table game between the Magic and the Pistons. What better opportunity for Banchero to show off his talents and strenghten the top position in the ROTY ranking?
Julius Randle (New York Knicks, 19.7 cr): away game for the Knicks, who will face the Wizards. Porzingis and co. are fighting for a place in the play-in, so it will not be an easy match for Randle, who is trying to lead his team to direct access to the Playoffs.
Center
DeAndre Ayton (Phoenix Suns, 16.8 cr): the choice for the center of this Matchday can only fall on him. The Suns will face the Thunder, recovering from a b2b match against the Jazz. Ayton can easily dominate under the rims, both in attack and in defense.
Coach
Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks, 6 cr): the Mavs are coming off two losses against Denver and Sacramento. The next opponent is San Antonio and, unless misunderstanding between the two stars, Doncic and Irving, coach Kidd already has this one in the bag.
