Lamar Jackson wants out of Baltimore, and there are a few dark horse landing spots for the former MVP.
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are ready to move on from another one. This is not something that too many people saw coming a few months ago, but alas, the 6-foot-2 quarterback is very likely going to be playing for a new team this offseason.
There’s no question that a plethora of teams could use the superstar QB. After all, he was the 2019 MVP and also is a two-time Pro Bowler. Therefore, he is a major difference-maker while performing at its highest level, so a major market should form for his services from here.
Due to all of this, let’s look at three dark horse landing spots for the 26-year-old.
Dark hose landing spots for Lamar Jackson: 3. Minnesota Vikings
There has been some speculation that the Minnesota Vikings could make a push for Jackson. This would be intriguing to see, as they just finished last season with a strong 13-4 record and won the NFC North because of it.
However, their offense fizzled out in the postseason, so perhaps they could be open to the prospect of bringing in Jackson as an upgrade over Kirk Cousins.
It is apparent that the Vikings have the potential to be legitimate contenders, so perhaps they could make a very bold move and land Jackson as their new QB. This would, however, force them to move on from Cousins. Since he is coming off of another Pro Bowl season, there would likely be a decent trade market for him.
