The Brooklyn Nets have dropped back-to-back games but they find themselves as short underdogs on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets, who are in the midst of their worst stretch of the season.
Denver blew a double-digit second half lead on Saturday against the New York Knicks, the team’s fifth loss in six games. That includes a home loss to these Nets exactly one week ago.
Denver may sit a player like Jamal Murray, who is coming off a torn ACL, on the second day of a back-to-back, so the Nets are just short dogs in this game.
With the No. 6 or No. 5 seed still in play for Brooklyn, can it pull off the upset?

I think the Nets are live to pull off the upset here, especially since Denver has been a far worse team on the road this season.
The Nuggets are fifth in the NBA in net rating overall this season, but that number drops to 18th on the road. A big reason why is that the team ranks just 23rd in the NBA in defensive rating when away from Ball Arena.
Brooklyn scored at will against Denver a week ago, and I’m expecting a similar result on Sunday afternoon.
The Nuggets may sit some players after playing on Saturday, and they haven’t been great on the second night of back-to-backs this season, going just 5-4 ATS.
The Nets may be on a two-game skid, but this is a prime spot for them to bounce back and widen the gap between them and the Miami Heat for the No. 6 seed in the East.
