Warriors vs. Clippers prediction and odds for Wednesday, March 15 (Fade GSW on road)

The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers are in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots in the West heading into Wednesday’s showdown in Los Angeles.

Golden State has lost eight straight road games heading into this one, and the team won’t have Andrew Wiggins (personal) once again in this game.

The Clippers are still without Norman Powell, but they enter this matchup on a three-game winning streak.

Steph Curry and the Warriors have to turn around this 7-26 road record to truly avoid the play-in, but will that start tonight?

Here’s a look at the latest odds:

Warriors vs. Clippers odds, spread and total

Warriors vs. Clippers prediction and pick

The Warriors are just 5-12 ATS as road dogs this season, and the team’s defense disappears away from Chase Center, ranking 28th in the NBA in defensive rating in road games.

The Clippers are a tough matchup with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, especially since the Warriors are without their two best wing defenders in Gary Payton II and Wiggins.

This season, Los Angeles is averaging a 4.7-point margin of victory as a home favorite, which would allow it to cover the spread (2.5) if it wins by that much tonight.

It’s a simple handicap, but I can’t trust Golden State on the road. The team has shown time and time again that it won’t win away from Chase Center, and this spread is too short for me to expect the Warriors to cover.
