It was a very active NBA trade deadline, and a host of players who changed jerseys have been reborn with their new teams. James Wiseman is playing like a No. 2 overall pick with the Pistons, Jakob Poeltl is relishing being back in Toronto, and D’Angelo Russell has not disappointed in his second stint in LA. All of these players would make for intriguing NBA DFS picks on Tuesday, and as a bonus, none would drastically affect your NBA DFS salary cap.
That free cap space would then allow you to splurge on superstars such as Nikola Jokic, Anthony Davis and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Finding cost-effective options to pair with pricey players is a tried-and-true winning NBA DFS strategy. Top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, March 14
One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday is Nets forward Mikal Bridges ($7,800 on DraftKings and $8,400 on FanDuel). Bridges is savoring in being a go-to guy with Brooklyn after serving as a role player throughout his career with the Suns. After averaging 17.2 points with Phoenix this season, Bridges is putting up 25.7 PPG with the Nets.
If you take away the game last Thursday in which Bridges played just 12 minutes, he’s averaged 32 PPG over his last five contests. For the season, Bridges is also averaging 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and continuing his stellar defensive play that earned him an All-Defensive nod last season. On Tuesday, Bridges faces the Thunder, who he has yet to play this season, but he combined for 39 points, seven boards and four assists over his last two games against OKC last year.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Cavaliers PF/C Evan Mobley ($8,100 on DraftKings, $8,200 on FanDuel). Cleveland takes on Charlotte on Tuesday, and Mobley hasn’t disappointed against one of the league’s worst defenses. Across two games against the Hornets this season, Mobley has averaged 19.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
With Jarrett Allen (eye) out on Tuesday, Mobley will slide to the center position. That should be music to the ears of his daily Fantasy basketball owners as Charlotte is the league’s worst defense against opposing centers. The team has allowed the most Fantasy points to the position on both DraftKings and FanDuel, so Mobley is a must-start for Tuesday’s NBA DFS lineups.
