Blazers vs. Pelicans prediction and odds for Sunday, March 12 (Fade New Orleans)

Both the Portland Trail Blazers and New Orleans Pelicans are fighting to get back into the play-in tournament in the Western Conference, and a win on Sunday would go a long way to doing so.

The Pelicans lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, and they didn’t have Brandon Ingram (ankle) in that game.

Ingram is questionable for this game, yet another injury to a Pelicans team that is already down Ziona Williamson, Larry Nance Jr. and Jose Alvarado.

Portland has lost two straight, but the team may have a shot to pull off a road win if Ingram sits.

Here’s a look at the latest odds:

Blazers vs. Pelicans prediction and pick

I can’t trust this Pelicans team without Ingram, especially after it was thrashed by the Thunder on Saturday.

New Orleans is just 3-6 against the spread on the second night of a back-to-back this season, and it has one of the worst offenses in the NBA over its last 10 games.

Portland hasn’t played well either, losing seven of its last 10, but it’s most recent losses were to very solid teams in the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard is going to be the best player on the floor tonight, and I’ll take a shot on the Blazers on this short line in case Ingram is ruled out.

The Pels have been good at home this season, but they can’t be trusted with the way their offense has floundered as of late (29th in offensive rating in their last 10 games).

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
