Everything you need for Round 36 of Dunkest NBA Fantasy. From fantasy basketball tips, position by position:
Centers
Mark Williams (Charlotte Hornets, 11.9 cr)
The trade that sent his former teammate Nick Richards to the Phoenix Suns has opened the door for our big guy Mark to become the starting center. He responded immediately in an excellent way, delivering performances of over 25 points per game. He will surely make his contribution in the upcoming game against the Portland Trail Blazers, a team that, when Ayton defends the paint, struggles a lot against opposing centers. We will take advantage of this situation and place our trust in Mark Williams.
Kel’el Ware (Miami Heat, 6.8 cr)
Bam Adebayo’s tough period, combined with the storm surrounding the possible trade of Jimmy Butler, forced coach Spoelstra to revise the Heat’s rotations. The man chosen to shake things up was Kel’el, who responded excellently to the captain’s call: precision on the court and presence on both sides of the floor. The matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, the worst team in defensive efficiency against opposing centers, represents a safe harbor to rack up stats and deliver a solid double-double. Simply a must.
Forwards
LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers, 18.9 cr)
A player literally without limits. The game against the Golden State Warriors and his great friend Steph Curry is a prime-time matchup, and surely the King will wear his best outfit to honor the occasion; consequently, his performance will be no less. Draymond Green, the experienced defender, and Jonathan Kuminga, an important piece in coach Kerr’s defensive schemes with his intensity, will not be playing. You’ll have to see it to believe it.
Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors, 14.5 cr)
A pressure-free situation in Toronto, where the Raptors are struggling with consistency in results (deliberately) and in the performances of their players. The matchup against the Atlanta Hawks won’t be the easiest, but Scottie seems to be in a stretch where he could deliver a triple-double at any moment, a performance he narrowly missed in the last two games by just a few rebounds or assists. Full confidence, because this will be the one.
Guards
Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies, 13.3 cr)
A spectacular player, capable of igniting games with incredible dunks, but also distributing the ball intelligently among his teammates. This latter aspect seems to have improved, as shown by the two double-doubles in points and assists recorded in the last three games. The matchup against Zion’s Pelicans might seem relatively simple, but not a foregone conclusion, and Ja will have the opportunity to showcase all of his talent. It’s also worth noting that the Pelicans are one of the worst defenses against opposing guards.
Amen Thompson (Houston Rockets, 11.8 cr)
With strong rebounding skills, he’s able to impact all statistical categories with excellent efficiency from the field. Smith Jr.’s hand injury has opened the door for Amen to start. At this price, he’s truly irresistible, and the matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are playing the day before, definitely isn’t a strong enough deterrent to make us doubt our choice
Coach
Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat, 6.0 cr)
On paper, a relatively simple matchup, which I feel confident recommending considering the now-clear goal of the management to improve lottery chances. On the other hand, Miami is in a position that doesn’t allow for many missteps, so we expect a win.
Mike Budenholzer (Phoenix Suns, 6.7 cr)
A situation very similar to that of my colleague Erik. In this case, a team fighting for the Playoffs faces another with the clear intent of finishing last. Strength and courage!
